Maizie Gilbert was born in San Francisco and raised in Mendocino. In high school, she began studying photography and she discovered that she loved it. After traveling and studying abroad with the California State University International Program, Maizie returned to The City to finish her undergraduate degree at San Francisco State University, where she completed a Bachelors degree in Italian. Honing her photographic skills, Maize continued her education and acquired an MFA in Photography from the California College of the Arts. She has shown her fine art photography in many galleries and museums across the country.

In 2000, Maizie started working with her brother to create stunning photographs for his San Francisco and Los Angeles restaurants, Luna Park. These images have accompanied many media spreads and have been prominently featured in The LA Times, USA Today and The Huffington Post, among others.

Besides being a talented photographer, Maizie is an accomplished digital imaging professional with advanced knowledge of Photoshop and color management.

Because of her experience as a visual artist, Maizie understands the importance of exposure and placement in the media. By combining her photographic artistry and her digital skills Maizie can provide her clients with heroes; beautiful images that will stand out whether they are needed for a website or for an article in a magazine or newspaper.
